I wanted to post this video because I think the message behind it is incredibly important. Beauty blogger Lauren Luke teamed up with Refuge to post a powerful message about domestic abuse.

I've already watched it and its incredible. Well done for highlighting such an important issue. As bloggers, we have to be responsible about what we post. It's important for me that I use my blog space just not to talk about fashion but to talk about issues that exist within the community or things that threaten us as women.

Domestic abuse is serious and if it is happening to you, or to someone you know. The statistic is that one in four women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime.  At the time of writing this blog post 348, 868 people had viewed the video.

You can get help before its too late. In Ireland, 7235 women sought help for domestic abuse in 2010. SAFE Ireland run a helpline which has answered over 38, 629 calls last year. You can find details of their website here
