I think as time has gone on, I have come to appreciate just how important the structural parts of make up are. I know structural is a bit of a weird choice of words but hear me out as I mean the building blocks that you can pop a 'look' onto.
I was delighted to be sent the new Code Beautiful for a few reasons.
I needed a new primer being one! The others were that I have had good mascaras from them before so I knew this was likely to be a good product and also, I love trying new products so this was ideal.
This was so much more than just a primer though. It's a concealer, primer and eyeshadow in one. Multi-use for those days where I am not capable of anything more than a good solid natural look. I can't always be reaching for the neon eyeshadows.
The formula works to lift, enhance and help those tired eyes. Given I am under the pressure at the moment buying a new house, all lifting and helping is gratefully received. I am not looking my best these days! The formula contains Vitamin E, anti-oxidants and is cruelty free which is a relief.
One of the things I like the most about this is that the shade I have is slightly darker so I can pop underneath my eyes to warm up dark circles. I have blue-ish tones to my circles (sadly) so this is perfect for a spot of colour correcting. Sometimes, it can be more effective to colour correct than it can to just use a brighter concealer. A pro tip for you there!
I've been using it for a few days now and find the formula easy to work with which is great. I'm tired of complicated products. I recently got a product to review that meant I had to add vitamin liquid to a cream....I haven't had the time to even start. Believe me, these days I just need to grab, swipe and go.
